Rotterdam has a big centre, with a lot of shopping possibilities. On the Lijnbaan and in the Koopgoot you will find most stores close together. Take a break from shopping to have a nice lunch at Dudok and you have an amazing day.
In Rotterdam there are various attractions to visit. For example, there is Diergaarde Blijdorp, a beautiful zoo where the animals reside in beautiful accommodations imitating the continent where they’re from. The other amusement park in Rotterdam is Plaswijck park. Here the children can go wild in the many playgrounds or cuddle the animals in the “Dierenwijck”.
Miniworld is the biggest indoor miniature world in the Benelux. In Miniworld a day lasts 24 minutes, during which the inhababitants experience all kinds of things. You won’t know where to look!
From the Euromast you can see Rotterdam from a great height. At a height of 104 metres you will find the restaurant from where you will have a beautiful view of the city. Still not high enough? Then take the Euroscoop, which will bring you to a height of 185 metres. The highest point in the Netherlands.
During your visit to Rotterdam, of course you can’t skip a visit to the Markthal. This is a large hall, full of various places to eat and drink, as well as market stalls for your daily grocery shopping. Oh and don’t forget to look up! The full inner facade consists of images of all products that are available in the Markthal.
