Walking

Hiking is one of the most popular holiday activities. On the islands of Voorne-Putten and Goeree-Overflakkee you will find various walking routes, something for everyone.

At our reception, you can also request a junction route map of the island's hiking junctions. So you can easily put together your own route!

Voorne Pad

'Voorne pad' is a varied route that lets you discover the island of Voorne in different ways. The route takes you past fortifications and forts, through the Dutch polder landscape and offers the possibility of crossing to the sea and the beach. The signposted route is 70 km long, with a main route of 45 km. You can make the walk shorter or longer by following alternative links. For more information or questions, please contact reception.

Bernissepad

'Bernissepad' is a walking route along and across De Bernisse, the ancient little river that separates Voorne and Putten. The varied route takes you through villages, towns and nature and recreation areas. The total length is 26 km, but it is also possible to split the route into shorter walks of 6, 8 or 12 km. The walk is marked with yellow-red-yellow markings and can start at various points. Recommended starting points are the car parks at La Campagne and the Zuidlandse Hoeve.

Het Landgoederen pad

'Het Landgoederen pad' is a walking route that takes you past the estates and country houses near Oostvoorne, each with its own history and special flora and fauna. Many of these estates were once owned by Rotterdam harbour barons, who chose the dune edge of Voorne as the location for their country houses. The total length of the route is about 18 km, but you can also split the walk into two shorter routes of 8 and 10 km. The route is marked with yellow-red-yellow markings and can be started at the VVV office on Hoflaan 6 or the car park on Berkenrijsweg in Oostvoorne. The route goes largely on unpaved paths, making it unsuitable for wheelchairs and prams.

Animal scavenger hunt

The Animal Scavenger Hunt starts at Resort Città Romana and is an 8.89 km walking route, ideal for families with children. Together with Eddie the Duck, you go in search of animals and discover what distant journeys they have made. The route can be shortened to 7, 6 or 4 kilometres. For the full route, please contact reception.
